didn't get to pick the phone up at the time my 8 year old daughters phone rang. so I called them back 3 times, they have a recording that says 'your call is very important to us and you will be answered by the next available agent' and it just keeps saying this every minute for 6 minutes then a lady recording comes on, says goodbye and they hang up on you!!!!
They say that they are from Telstra and are calling about and international routing problem and that my internet connection will be terminated if I don't connect via my computer "so they can show me the problem".
I am raising this with Telstra but it is highly suspicious.
My advice is to contact your ISP and find out if it is legit.
The caller said they were ringing from Telstra in North Sydney. I have call display and it said that the call was from Overseas, lots of background noise sounded like a call centre in India - I could hardly hear the caller but i asked him for his phone number so i could call him back and he gave me this number 0280056147. I have had a few calls like this over the last couple of weeks claiming to be from Telstra always sounds like an Indian call centre and the call is always from overseas.

The lady who uses this phone # goes by numerous names Caro Murie, Carole Murie, Carole Jones, Caro Jones etc. Would like more information on her wherabouts, as she has outstanding debts / orders oustanding, which require payment.
